Do you have quiet time with the Lord? – Everyday appointment with God.
People have different times of the day when they prefer to pray or read the scriptures, depending on their schedules and lifestyles. I have to say, I have always preferred the morning.
It is a joy to rise early, before anyone else in the house, and have a quiet time to meditate on God's Word and bask in the light of His presence. We can hear Him speak to us so clearly and so lovingly during these quiet times and we can receive definite direction for the day and for our lives.
Whatever has gone on in your life the day before, or even the week before, doesn't matter when you enter His presence and hear His voice. So whether you spend time with Him in the morning, afternoon or evening, it's still like the dawning of a new day.
He gives fresh insight and revelation and reminds us of His love and kindness toward us. When we know we have heard from Him, we can move forward confidently, because He has revealed the right paths for us to walk.
As we surrender our very souls to Him and His will, our thoughts become aligned with His and the intents of our hearts are revealed. We are changed and conformed to His Image. What a great new day!
Are you taking the time each day to seek Him? It doesn't have to be hours.
We can all find a place in our lives for God, no matter how busy we are or where we are. Stop making excuses.
You need to do this: intimate time with the Lord.
After all, He always has time for you.
He will meet you anywhere and anytime, all the time.
