Life is Just Plain Hard

Life is just plain hard.

Yes, you know exactly what we’re talking about. Some days unfold like exhausting, convoluted detours, while other days abruptly explode before our eyes. The boulder falls with a thud and so begins the task of re-assembling the millions of little pieces trapped beneath it that require nothing less than the holy, attentive hands of God.

Brokenness happens. In fact, it’s a prophesy and promise that touches us all.

Every day you bump and bounce from one hurt to the next. And at any point you can cause—or carry away—the burden of another’s heart. It’s a delicate balance to be sure.

But take heart in the journey: There is absolutely nothing beyond the reach of grace.

It’s in the shattered moments God reveals His masterful design to redeem and restore our greatest mess. God makes all things beautiful and new. In fact, He’s the only one who can.

Why does God allow life to unfold in such abrupt and often painful ways? So that that amid the broken pieces of our lives, the world can see, feel, and know the saving power of Jesus Christ. It really is as simple as that.

Whatever is happening in your life right now—it’s your story written by the hand of a loving, almighty, and perfect God. So hold on beloved, His promises are true. He is making a beautiful thing out of you.
