The only way to stand out as a Christ Follower and honor God with your life is to determine today to have an undivided heart. When a Holy God begins to rewrite an unholy life, He requires something of you in the editing process.
Surrender. Surrender of the things that distract, distort and dissuade you from the journey of transformation. Surrender of your agendas, faulty thinking, and allegiance to the former trappings that defined you.
He also expects accuracy—a daily truth and reverence—as you communicate your story to others.
Sharing your story about what God has done in your life is effective and powerful only when in private you are fully surrendered to God’s ongoing edits of you story. If you are walking outside of what the Spirit longs to tell us daily or retelling a truth we no longer own, then your story becomes just another story in a sea of chatter. But when you submit to God as the Author of your life, the story you have to share just gets better and better.
Let God write your story. He can do it better anyway.
