Throw With Force

Do you find that the weight of your cares is too heavy to bear? That is purposeful. It’s the weight of our cares that typically draws us closer to Him. He never intended for us to carry them. He desires to carry them for us. The only prerequisite is to stay close to Him and keep our eyes focused on Him.

Ironically, He does not call us to place our cares before Him. I am sure He realizes that if we simply placed it before Him we would easily walk over and take it back. This is especially so when God is not responding in a manner that we would like or on our timetable. When He says that He got it, He really means He got it! When we attempt to take our cares back it shows a lack of trust on our part. He calls us to cast our cares upon Him.

The word “cast” means to throw with force. If we are going to throw something heavy and land it on our target it requires us to get up close and personal. The heavier the care, the closer we must draw to Him. You may be thinking, “it is so heavy it is crushing me…there is no way I can pick it up and cast it upon him”. Rest assured if you muster up enough energy to do this right now, it will be the last time you have to deal with it.

Prayer
Lord, help me to throw my cares with force upon You. Help me to trust You enough to allow You to take care of this issue from start to finish. I choose today to leave it in Your capable hands!
