Delight thyself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4
In my 15 years of service as a Comptroller of a Chinese family-owned group of companies I was blessed tremendously in many, many ways. More than anything else, the Boss became my mentor, the Big Brother. Let me share some of his advises:
- In any conflict, negotiation, or any agreement (even when you have great advantage)
always go for a win-win closure;
- "kaizen" - continue improving especially in relationships; good business is not a
"one shot deal" but a continuing process;
-Use Selling Advantage (USA), business is like a game of tennis. It starts with a
serve. The better, stronger you serve the more you have the edge;
-It will be pretty obvious that those who serve or work with passion in their hearts
serve better than those who do it out of a sense of duty or obligation. Those
who are being served can sure tell the difference.

“Passion and enthusiasm lead more people to the Lord than great intellectual arguments.”
How do I fully yield my heart and desires to the Lord? This is where my faith and trust in Him rise to the occasion.
Trusting the Lord with our souls with regard to salvation and heaven can be a rather esoteric thing. None of us have seen heaven or hell. We believe by faith the things we cannot truly comprehend -- things that don't seem truly "real" to us as far as personal experience. But yielding our daily lives -- giving up our precious time and resources -that's an entirely different matter.
Putting my deepest heartfelt desires on a platter and lifting them before the Lord to take away as He pleases, while putting something in their place that I may not want or like, is how we often view letting the Lord "put His desires in our hearts." Still, it is faith, after all.
I have no profound advice or sage wisdom other than to say that we are to have child-like faith. A child, who has a good parent, intrinsically trusts, puts their little hand in the bigger hand, and allows the parent to lead them.
Our faith comes from God - it's an unmerited gift. So are the desires of our heart. When we make the choice daily, even hourly, to yield our heart's desires back to Him, we can be confident He will put the desires He wants us to have in our hearts...then He will fulfill them.
Place your desires and trust in Him- that's a life living with passion and enthusiasm. It's the ultimate win-win.
